Connecting Sensor Management Systems to ESS-specific DMPs

The Research Data Management Organizer(RDMO) is a basic service of the NFDI (DMP4nfdi). It supports research projects in the planning, implementation and administration of all research data management tasks along the data lifecycle. DMP4nfdi operates RDMO as a standard application, offers support and provides the technical infrastructure.

Our DMP4nfdi incubator project RDMO Earth-Sensor is developing an operational RDMO catalog for the Earth system research community to create data management plans (DMPs) for sensor-based research projects or monitoring activities. The RDMO will be linked via APIs to existing sensor and data management systems such as GIPP, SMS and O2A. This enables the direct and seamless integration of sensor metadata into RDMO-based data management plans and ensures metadata consistency between the linked systems.
